Hanoi > Ha Giang City > Thon Tha Village

Kick off your adventure with a pick-up at your hotel in Hanoi. At 09:00, board a comfortable day bus and embark on a scenic journey to Ha Giang City. Watch as the bustling city fades into lush rice fields and rolling hills, setting the stage for your exploration.

Arrive in Ha Giang City around 16:30, where your local guide will greet you and transport you to your cozy homestay in Thon Tha Village. Unwind in this beautiful setting, surrounded by stunning landscapes and the warmth of local hospitality.

Gather for a delicious dinner featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes, perfect for energizing you for the adventures ahead. Share stories with fellow travellers and soak in the tranquil atmosphere before a restful night in your homestay.

Day 2

Thon Tha Village > Trek to Lung Vai > Ha Thanh Village > Thon Tha Village

Start your day with a hearty breakfast prepared by your homestay host around 08:00. After fueling up, meet your local guide and set off on an exciting trek through the stunning terraced rice fields and charming Tay villages of Ha Giang.

Enjoy the chance to meet locals as you trek for 4 hours toward Lùng Vai Village, home of the Coin Dao people. 

Take a break for lunch at a welcoming Dao family’s traditional home, where you’ll immerse yourself in their rich culture and warm hospitality.

After lunch, continue your trek to Ha Thanh Village, renowned for its beautiful waterfall. Conclude your day with an overnight stay in a cosy Tay homestay in Thon Tha, where you can relax and share stories with fellow travellers.

Day 3

Thon Tha Village > Trek to Khuoi Mi Village > Thon Tha Village

Awaken to the sounds of village life as dawn brightens your surroundings. Join local activities like feeding animals or helping prepare breakfast before enjoying a delicious meal.

Then, set off on a scenic trek connecting Thon Tha to Khuoi Mi, where your guide will share stories about the Dao Ao Dai culture. Explore Khuoi Mi Village, home to around 200 Dao Ao Dai households nestled at the foot of Tay Con Linh, Northeast Vietnam’s highest peak. Savor a delightful lunch at a local family’s home before continuing your trek back to your Tay homestay in Thon Tha.

Spend another cosy night there and consider arranging a traditional cultural show featuring local music and love duets (additional fee applies) before resting for the night.

With Cozy Hostel, you will be able to safely store your luggage or whatever items you do not need to take with you at our hostel in Ha Giang town. This is where we will both begin and complete the loop. With this in mind, it is recommended and important to pack light.

– Waterproof jacket or raincoat for the colder areas or wet periods

Light luggage or a small backpack is recommended for the tour, as you will be trekking daily and need to be able to endure carrying your bag throughout.
